The Housing Authority of the City of Camden (HACC) is looking for a dedicated full-time Administrative Support Specialist to join our Public Housing Program team.
As part of the Asset Management Department, you will play a crucial role in managing over 1330 housing units and ensuring the efficient screening and selection of public housing residents.
The Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for providing essential administrative assistance, coordinating management activities, and supporting the Property Manager in various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of housing developments, addressing tenant issues and resolving complaints.
- Conduct periodic assessments of tenant income and employment status.
- Educate tenants on housing policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with community organizations and participate in project activities.
- Gather and analyze tenant data to support effective decision-making.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required.
- Perform typing and related administrative duties as needed.
This role is vital in providing support to low-income families and individuals, including the homeless, elderly, and disabled. All activities must align with HACC's mission and strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to service excellence.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- One year of experience in administrative support, preferably in real estate management or community services.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
