Overview
The Patient Care Specialist is dedicated to providing an outstanding customer experience.
This position ensures that all sales comply with state regulations while addressing customer needs throughout the sales journey.
Additionally, this role is responsible for accurately recording transactions in point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management systems. Most importantly, this position reflects the company's culture and brand identity.Key Responsibilities
Sales Duties
- Delivers a consistently exceptional customer experience
- Guides customers in product selection based on established treatment plans and product availability
- Meets daily and weekly sales targets by responding to customer requests and identifying opportunities to introduce new and alternative products
- Continuously enhances communication and service skills to boost sales and generate positive feedback
- Informs customers about product features and usage
- Ensures accurate customer entries in the patient tracking system
- Conducts sales transactions in accordance with all regulations governing cannabis sales
- Completes precise sales documentation
- Ensures transactions are recorded in point-of-sale and inventory systems in compliance with state laws
- Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized dispensary environment
- Adheres to all Justice Cannabis Co. policies, procedures, and practices related to sales and service
- Follows all safety and security protocols for dispensary personnel
- Performs administrative tasks (customer profile completion, sales tracking, etc.) as needed
- Establishes lasting relationships with dispensary customers
- Completes customer profiles to support future sales and service opportunities
- Maintains knowledge of new and existing products through vendor training, documentation, and cross-training with management, pharmacists, and senior sales consultants

Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in a retail or hospitality setting with cash handling responsibilities
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for providing an exceptional customer experience
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail sales environment preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license or state ID
- Must successfully pass all required background checks, certifications, and DOH affiliation requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Technical Skills
- Proficient in computer usage with the ability to learn operational systems (Alpine IQ, Leaflogix, MJ Freeway, Veriscan, Microsoft Office, and Metrc, etc.)
- Experience with Outlook email and Microsoft Office suite
The characteristics of the work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those encountered by an employee while performing the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Must be capable of lifting 25 pounds to stock product boxes. The position requires frequent reaching into cabinets and displays to show and review products.
Ability to maintain a stationary sitting or standing position for up to eight hours in a day based on business needs and sales volume; and, ability to bend and retrieve products from lower shelves.
This role also involves entering information into sales and tracking systems, requiring hand dexterity and the ability to visually verify correct product information.
