Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at the University of Miami/UHealth. As a CRNA, you will work collaboratively with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other medical professionals to deliver high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care before, during, and after medical procedures or surgeries, including patient assessment, anesthesia preparation, and administration.
  • Work in collaboration with anesthesiologists and other medical professionals to ensure proper sedation and pain management.
  • Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia and provide immediate post-operative care.
  • Perform pre-operative assessments, administer anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist, and document anesthesia notes on patient records.
  • Review medical history, evaluate patients, and determine proper methods of anesthesia.
  • Perform or evaluate diagnostic tests, such as radiographs and electrocardiograms.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safety, including skin color, pupil dilation, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, ventilation, or urine output.
  • Manage patients' airway or pulmonary status using techniques such as endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, respiratory therapy, and extubation.
  • Develop anesthesia care plans and adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA)
  • Valid Florida CRNA License, BLS/ACLS/PALS required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
