Category Management Director

We are seeking a seasoned Category Management Director to lead our Tail Spend Governance initiative. This role will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and management of our tail spend solution, ensuring optimal performance and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement governance frameworks to manage tail spend, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize category strategies, driving business value and cost savings.
- Manage relationships with tail spend providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service delivery meets expectations.
- Oversee the transition of services to tail spend solution partners, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
- Develop and maintain expertise in operations outsourced to tail spend providers, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Interface with senior stakeholders to influence business decisions and drive category strategies.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business field, with 10+ years of indirect sourcing, procurement, or category management experience.
- Proven track record of delivering cost savings and driving business value through category management and tail spend governance.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and program management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- 5+ years of tail spend management expertise, with a deep understanding of tail spend solutions and their application.
- Experience working with global or regional procurement teams, with a strong understanding of category strategies and playbooks.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree, with a focus on business strategy and operations.
