Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Technician to join our team at the Novelis Guthrie Manufacturing Facility. As an Operations Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate and maintain equipment to ensure optimal production levels and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and Control Processes: Monitor and control processes to ensure quality and efficiency, making adjustments as needed to meet production targets.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order and minimize the risk of breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Identify and Implement Improvements: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum four years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Proven foundation and value for safety; ability to work in a team environment; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to climb stairs and ladders; ability to work in heat and cold temperatures.
