Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an Aluminum Recycling Technician to join our innovative team at the Novelis Guthrie Manufacturing Facility. This role is integral to our expansion efforts and offers a competitive starting salary.

Work Schedule:
Technicians will work on a rotating schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts, alternating between day and night shifts. Our current model allows for every other weekend off, promoting a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Identify and address safety hazards in the workplace.
  • Monitor and operate control systems and instrumentation.
  • Utilize data analysis for product and process decision-making.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Engage in preventative maintenance activities.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate and mentor fellow team members.
  • Communicate effectively across various departments.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback in a respectful manner.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; an Associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic software applications and email communication.
  • Physical requirements include working in varying temperatures, lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to perform tasks that involve bending and climbing.
