Automotive Sales Representative

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Automotive Sales Representative to join our team at Chevy of West. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling vehicles that meet our gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking pertinent questions and carefully listening.
  • Demonstrate vehicles, including test drives.
  • Properly introduce new customers to the Service facilities and to the appropriate Service personnel.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and ensure they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed of new products, features, accessories, and their benefits to customers.
  • Review monthly objectives, weekly activities, and daily planned activities with the Sales Manager.
  • Understand the terminology of the automobile business and be able to communicate effectively to customers.
  • Report any vehicle lot damage or problems with a vehicle to the Sales Manager immediately.
  • Know and understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
  • Complete all training as directed by the supervisor.
  • Follow policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Requirements:

  • Educational: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year minimum.
  • Special Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to sell a minimum quota according to facility standards, and proficiency in personal computer applications including word processing and spreadsheet software.
