Job Title: Classroom Assistant Teacher

UMOS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Assistant Teacher to join our team. As a Classroom Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the Classroom Teacher to provide a safe and nurturing environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Classroom Teacher in planning and implementing educational activities and lessons.
  • Work with the Classroom Teacher to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to children as needed.
  • Assist with daily routines and activities, including mealtime and outdoor play.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or state-awarded certificate preferred.
  • Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Work Environment:

The Classroom Assistant Teacher will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, interacting with children, parents, and staff on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm and patient demeanor in a busy and sometimes chaotic environment.
