Mechanical Engineer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembly professional to join our team at L3 Harris in Northampton, MA. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
About the RoleThis role involves effectively assembling optical and mechanical units to deliver high-quality output aligned with company goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of assembly best practices, experience with machining equipment, and excellent quality control skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble optical and mechanical units to required tolerances and specifications
- Conduct hydraulic and pneumatic pressure tests and vacuum and dew point tests
- Operate machining equipment including drill press, bench lathe, engraving machine, and milling machine
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ year of general mechanical assembly experience
- Strong knowledge of assembly techniques and procedures
- Ability to lift up to 32 lbs., sit or stand for 8 hours, and climb stairs
- DOD Secret security clearance eligibility
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and more.
