About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Engineer to join our team at Access Vascular Inc. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing R&D projects and initiatives to support the development of new products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in new product development projects, developing and processing Access Vascular's novel material into various venous access catheters and related products.
  • Establish, execute, and report on the design control deliverables, taking concepts through Design Verification, Design Transfer, and into commercialization.
  • Plan, design, and execute studies utilizing statistically-based and DFMA approaches to characterize data and products.
  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.
  • Make data-based decisions on engineering problems and suggest future iterations/testing.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Plastic/Materials, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in a medical device company, with demonstrated experience in design control.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to successfully complete a wide variety of complex job duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide direction and mentorship to junior team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a medical device company, with demonstrated experience in design control.
  • Hands-on work/understanding of extrusion theory and practice.
  • Formulation chemistry (polymer and/or hydrogel) and product development experience.
