Position Summary:
We are looking for Underwriters to enhance our top-tier Operations Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess risk in alignment with all FHA HECM guidelines and internal policies.
- Thoroughly review all components of the loan file, including title and appraisal documentation.
- Determine approval terms and compliance or identify grounds for denial.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and completeness of documentation.
- Communicate loan decisions effectively to sales teams and management as necessary.
- Accurately input relevant loan information into operational systems.
- Utilize FHA Connection for necessary updates to loan data.
- Collaborate with all operational departments to create efficient workflows.
- Complete required checklists and documentation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in mortgage loan underwriting is required.
- Experience with reverse mortgages is advantageous.
- FHA Direct Endorsement is highly preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, though not mandatory.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications are essential.
- Exceptional customer service and time management abilities are required.
- A strong drive and determination to excel in a competitive, fast-paced environment are crucial.
