Job Title:

Member Service Specialist III

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Member Service Specialist III to join our team at Golden 1. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, processing financial transactions, and promoting Golden 1 products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and audit financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments
  • Provide Golden 1 services to members, including cashier's checks, money orders, savings bonds, wire transfers, and debit card issuance
  • Assess member needs and identify opportunities to promote Golden 1 products and services
  • Identify and report fraudulent activity to management and Financial Investigations department
  • Assist in the proper operation of the ATM and Teller Cash Dispenser Units
  • May be required to take the lead for open and closing responsibilities in the absence of MSS IV and above
  • Activate alarm and verify signature cards in ECM
  • Check acceptance approval within assigned limits and ensure confidentiality of all member and credit union information
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Golden 1 products and services, as well as policies and procedures for teller functions
  • Perform additional responsibilities essential to the operations of the branch
Requirements:
  • High School or GED required
  • Minimum two plus years of prior experience in a banker role at another financial institution or customer relationship building role preferred
  • Plus one year as a Member Service Specialist II or teller role at Golden 1 or another financial institution preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge in the following areas: Federal Rules and Regulations as applied to credit unions, G1 products, deposit fulfillment, and lending services
  • Basic knowledge in the following systems/applications: Microsoft Office, eFunds, Bridger, Card @ Once, EnAct, ECM, Springboard, DSUI / TNav, Wire Exchange, SBO, HRIS (ADP), Concur, Relationship Manager
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged standing throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift up to thirty pounds
  • Ability to frequently move about the branch to accomplish tasks
  • Corrected hearing within normal range
  • Corrected vision in the normal range
  • Possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment

  • Certified Notary Public, if required for specific branch
