UPS is currently hiring skilled professionals to join our team as Buildings and Systems Maintenance Specialists. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our package handling facilities.

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment, including batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo driven equipment, photo electrical devices, transducers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's) and encoders.
  • Mechanical Component Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components, such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
  • Pneumatic and Hydraulic Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace pneumatic equipment, such as diverters, lubricators, hoses, and coils, as well as hydraulic equipment, such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding tasks, including handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts, and grating.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment, such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.

Compensation and Benefits: Our compensation package reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is $38.85 per hour, with a one-year progression to top pay. Hired applicants are eligible for weekly pay, extensive training, 401(K), defined-benefit pension plan, medical-dental and vision benefits, $0 healthcare premium, paid vacation, paid sick and family and medical leave time, paid holidays, and discounted employee stock purchase program.
