Job Summary

The Shipping Associate will play a critical role in the success of our logistics operations. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling pick-ups, processing shipments, and generating freight quotations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with logistics providers to coordinate and schedule pick-ups
  • Process shipments by referencing customers' routing guides and company policies
  • Generate freight quotations per customers' or sales representatives' requests
  • Perform accurate data entry of tracking numbers into internal system and web portal
  • Interact with customers (internal and external) and carriers to assure customer satisfaction
  • Communicate any unresolved issues to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve receiving related issues
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of ERP based systems recommended
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate rapidly and effectively within the organization and to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Willingness and ability to independently pursue assignments with maximum problem-solving resolve and minimal supervision, but must also readily ask for direction and help when needed
  • Ability to shift priorities as needed and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Satisfactory completion of drug screen and background check
