About the Job
The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Olathe Medical Center Vein Care & Pain Mgmt. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Summary
This role involves utilizing the nursing process to coordinate interdisciplinary patient care, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes. As a Registered Nurse, you will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, precept new staff members, and engage in ongoing education to maintain professional growth.

Responsibilities
* Consistently meet work schedules
* Utilize critical thinking to apply the nursing process
* Maintain a safe environment for patients
* Coordinate healthcare services with hospital vendors and physician offices
* Answer patient calls, evaluate needs, and triage care
* Provide patient/family education using available resources
* Act as liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team members
* Identify areas for professional growth
* Participate in Patient-Centered Medical Home Team activities

Requirements
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Associate degree in nursing
* Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) with single state license from the State Board of Nursing (Kansas) or compact license
* CPR/AED/BLS certification within 14 days
