About the Job

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled inpatient nurse to join our team as a float manager resource. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess Patient Needs: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health conditions, identifying potential risks and developing effective care plans.
  • Administer Nursing Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
  • Critical Care Experience: A minimum of one year's experience working in critical care, emergency departments, or women's and babies units.
  • Licensure and Certification: Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • AHA BLS Certification: Prior to end of orientation period.
