Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated graduate assistant to join the Office of Accessibility Resources in a part-time role focused on accommodations coordination. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to assisting students with diverse needs and disabilities. This position entails facilitating academic, dining, and housing accommodations for students while collaborating closely with various campus stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake sessions for accommodation requests
- Work in partnership with the Associate Director to secure necessary approvals
- Communicate approved accommodations effectively to students and relevant partners
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up for students
- Manage data through the Student Accommodation Manager portal
- Serve as a liaison with faculty, staff, and families regarding academic assistance
- Assist in the note-taking process for students requiring support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and acceptance into Berry's MBA program
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Genuine interest in accessibility resources and support for individuals with disabilities
