Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Track Staff Performance: Utilize agency workforce software to monitor and evaluate the performance of direct staff.
  • Assume Maintenance Leadership Role: Participate in workload activities, provide organization and oversight, and assume a leadership role in maintenance operations.
  • Assist with Budget Development: Collaborate with the team to develop and manage budgets for physical plant services, including janitorial, preventive and corrective maintenance, and generalized repair.
  • Develop and Manage Staff Agenda: Prioritize tasks and manage staff workload based on agency work order request systems and priority needs.
  • Promote a Safe Working Environment: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for staff and individuals we support.
  • Maintain and Enforce Agency Policies: Uphold and enforce agency policies and procedures related to maintenance and physical plant operations.
  • Maintain Service Inventory: Requisition, assign, and track service-related materials to ensure efficient operations.
  • Approve Expenditures: Approve and assume accountability for direct staff expenditures related to maintenance and physical plant services.
  • Ensure Safety and Health Standards: Ensure all assigned physical plant facilities meet safety and health standards as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years' experience in maintenance or a related field, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Excellent knowledge and understanding of facilities and physical plant requirements; proficiency in common computer software, such as Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
