Assistant Operations Supervisor

The Assistant Operations Supervisor is a critical role within our team, responsible for overseeing field personnel and making supervisory-level decisions. This position requires a high level of proficiency in patient care, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality patient care and customer service within established protocols and company policies.
• Serve as a leader and role-model to field personnel, providing guidance and leadership as directed by the Operations Supervisor.
• Oversee employee task performance, serving as an advisor for decisions requiring interpretation of clinical delivery and company policies.
• Take corrective action when necessary, with limited disciplinary authority after consultation with the Operations Supervisor.
• Assist with scheduling, assigning, and reviewing the work of field personnel, maximizing unit hours through continuous monitoring of the schedule and operation.
• Ensure that ambulance calls are completed in an efficient and safe manner, verifying that units are clean, stocked, and in working order.
• Ensure that all necessary patient care and billing documentation is completed accurately and within specified timeframes.
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of EMS field experience, with 3 years preferred.
• Prior FTO or other leadership/supervisory experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is required, with some advanced education preferred.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to function as an EMT/Paramedic and perform direct patient-care activities in the field.
• Thorough knowledge of equipment and supplies used in emergency care, patient care, and transport.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to successfully pass a Physical Agility Test and maintain State EMT/Paramedic Certification, State Driver's License, and Ambulance Driver's License.
Working Conditions:
• Frequently works out in the field and occasionally in an office setting, working with others and alone utilizing phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
• Occasionally works extended shifts, working day, night, and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects, with the ability to lift and/or move up to 200 pounds with the assistance of a partner.
