Position Overview

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Psychiatry Faculty Position in the vibrant region of North Central Illinois. This area boasts a population of approximately 115,000 and serves a broader community of around 450,000.

About the Institution

The institution features a robust Residency Program in Family Medicine, General Surgery, and Psychiatry, along with a dedicated Geriatric Fellowship. With 11 Residency programs available, this is an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

Available Positions
  • Two Clinician-Educator (CE) Positions
  • One Psychiatry Residency Program Director (PD) Position
Candidate Expectations

Ideal candidates for the CE positions should demonstrate a commitment to delivering and teaching high-quality patient care while supporting the academic endeavors of residents and medical students.

The PD position is intended for individuals with a background in educational administration and a passion for quality teaching.

Responsibilities

For the CE role, responsibilities include:

  • Leading an interdisciplinary adult inpatient teaching unit comprising residents, medical students, nursing staff, social workers, and support personnel.

The PD role encompasses:

  • Directing a 16-resident, ACGME-accredited training program.
  • Fostering a culture of excellence in resident recruitment, education, and evaluation.
