About the Role

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of professional, technical, and clerical staff to ensure the quality of work and delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and implement staffing patterns and schedules to meet patient care needs, ensuring adequate staffing levels and skill mix.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, other departments, and leaders to ensure effective communication and decision-making.
  • Contribute to the financial viability of the organization by managing productivity and budgeting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with licensure, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Participate in community activities on behalf of the organization.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the State of Kentucky.
  • BSN degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years RN experience, with at least 2 years of leadership experience (e.g., RN-Charge).
  • Equivalent leadership capabilities will be considered in lieu of the leadership experience requirement, subject to executive leadership approval.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced skills and abilities of a registered nurse, practicing within the nursing scope of practice.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deliver successful results.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with experience in handling complex situations and conflicts.
  • Microsoft Office, Clinical Documentation, Payroll system.
Compensation

$56.01/hour.
