Job Overview

As a key contributor to our operations, the Field Service Engineer/Military Systems Specialist will engage in a range of intricate technical tasks supporting the Ship Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Family of Systems (FoS).

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute complex technical functions including design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electronic systems.
2. Provide on-site support to maritime cryptologic personnel.
3. Conduct system-level software testing to ensure operational readiness.
4. Perform detailed troubleshooting and software configuration, offering recommendations for resolution on SSEE FoS.
5. Carry out installation and verification tests for system upgrades and Equipment Changes (EC).
6. Deliver Onboard Technical Assistance (OBTA) during operations in various Areas of Responsibility (AORs).
7. Inspect and test installed antennas and associated antenna lines.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient understanding of the Radio Frequency spectrum, including experience with calibration and testing equipment such as Time Domain Reflectometers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with operating systems including WINDOWS (IOT, SHB, 10, 7), UNIX, and LINUX (REDHAT 6.x and greater).
- Experience with Command Line Interface (CLI) operations.
- Background in shipboard or aircraft system installations.
- Strong knowledge of system administration.
- Excellent communication and writing abilities.
- Must hold and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required within six months of hire.
- Willingness to travel 10-20% of the year.

Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge of hardware installation, system configuration, and maintenance of SSEE systems such as SSEE INC E, INC F, or Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP) systems.
- Experience with Fleet Electronic Support (FES) is advantageous.
