Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Brockton Hospital. As a Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Collect relevant patient health data and determine nursing diagnoses.
  • Diagnosis: Analyze patient assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
  • Outcome identification: Identify individualized expected outcomes for patients.
  • Planning/Implementation: Develop and implement a Plan of Care that prescribes interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate and document patient progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
  • Provide nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Administer prescribed medication and intravenous solutions in a safe manner.
  • Report significant patient condition alterations to physicians.
  • Counsel, educate, and include patients and their families in the overall plan of care.
  • Assist patients and families in coping with stress accompanying illness.
  • Quality of Care: Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Individual Practice Evaluation: Reflect knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, regulations, and changes in healthcare delivery, in daily practice.
  • Education: Acquire and maintain current knowledge and competency in the care of patients.
  • Collegiality: Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers as colleagues.
  • Ethics: Make decisions and take actions on behalf of patients in an ethical manner.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the healthcare team, consisting of patients, families, and healthcare providers, in providing patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
  • Research: Use clinical inquiry in practice.
  • Resource Utilization: Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion.
  • Minimum of two years Medical/Surgical experience. Critical Care experience preferred.
