Quality Assurance Supervisor

Position Overview: The Quality Compliance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the evaluation of batch records and raw materials for both in-process and final products at Innovations in Nutrition and Wellness. This role ensures that all raw materials and batches are produced, tested, and verified to meet the quality specifications and cGMP standards before they are released.
Key Responsibilities: The following functions are essential to maintain product quality and safety:
- Facilitate training sessions for employees on Quality protocols, procedures, standards, and safety regulations, or delegate training to seasoned personnel.
- Propose or implement strategies to enhance employee motivation and improve product quality and operational efficiency.
- Document and supervise the maintenance of operational and production records on designated forms.
- Uphold safety and quality standards rigorously.
- Review and authorize all manufacturing and packaging batch records, along with product releases.
- Generate Certificates of Analysis for customers.
- Conduct in-process assessments of materials, operational documentation, processes, and samples.
- Oversee the batch record document archiving system, ensuring timely closure, initiation, and retrieval of archived records.
- Manage inspections, sampling, and support for releases, including raw materials and products, to assist QA/QC operations.
- Comply with all cGMP regulations.
- Interpret work orders and production schedules to ascertain product specifications, materials required, weights, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Document quality, operational, and production data accurately.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to Production/Quality Management.
- Collaborate with management to address employee issues, complaints, or grievances.
- Perform all duties safely and report any unsafe conditions or actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Mathematical Skills – Proficient in arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, decimals, and percentages.
- Language Skills – Ability to articulate complex concepts in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Computer Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant business software.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in monitoring, analyzing, critical thinking, and active listening.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and inspire others, with a keen attention to detail, quality orientation, problem sensitivity, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with food production processes, cGMP regulations, and data entry in computer systems.
