Job DescriptionPhotonics Test Engineer

This role is part of the EPDA/Design Enablement group, based at our Albany site. We are seeking a skilled professional to develop and perform measurements in Silicon Photonics and Packaging.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing test setups and performing hands-on measurements on electronic and photonic components
  • Analyzing measured data, extracting key device parameters, and reporting conclusions to internal and external customers
  • Developing software programs and scripts for measurements
  • Managing purchases and interacting with vendors for equipment issues and maintenance

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in engineering or equivalent discipline from a recognized institution, with at least 7+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Hands-on experience in design of test setups, passive, and electro-optic measurements on various electronic and photonic devices
  • Experience analyzing measured data and extracting key device parameters

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ph.D. in engineering or equivalent discipline from a recognized institution, with at least 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience developing electro-optic test setups in the visible and NIR regions
  • Experience with automated provers and chip-level setups
