Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Photonics Epitaxy Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Silicon Photonics technology platform, you will be responsible for the execution of advanced epitaxial processes, including III-V hetero-epitaxy and silicon photonics integration.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing advanced epitaxial processes for III-V and silicon photonics integration
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop photonic integrated circuits
  • Optimizing process parameters to achieve high-quality epitaxial layers and devices
  • Conducting metrology and failure analysis to identify and resolve defects

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant professional industry experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and execute multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in process development, metrology, and failure analysis of defects in silicon and III-V
  • Background in modeling or device physics of photonic devices, specifically silicon or III-V photonics
  • Familiarity with IC layout and verification tools

Salary Range: $120,000 - $165,000

Some positions require access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, or restricted programs. Offers of employment are contingent upon the employer being able to obtain the necessary authorization.
