Position Overview - Tax Manager:
Atlantic Group is in search of an experienced Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance and reporting functions. In this crucial position, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax obligations, collaborating with external tax advisors, and reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role is ideal for a tax professional who excels in detail-oriented tasks and possesses a strong ability to navigate intricate tax regulations.

Location: Stamford, CT
Compensation: $185,000 - $225,000/year + bonus
Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities as the Tax Manager:
  1. Tax Compliance Management: Oversee federal, state, and international tax compliance activities in collaboration with external service providers.
  2. Quarterly Tax Provision Coordination: Work alongside finance and investment teams to develop quarterly tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
  3. Transaction Advisory: Engage in transaction support, structuring acquisitions and dispositions, preparing tax models, and conducting thorough tax due diligence.
  4. Investor Engagement: Provide assistance with investor inquiries, negotiate side letters, and analyze potential tax implications.
  5. Preparation of Supporting Documentation: Create necessary schedules to aid external accounting firms in preparing tax estimates, Schedule K-1s, and tax filings.
  6. Tax Research and Strategic Planning: Perform tax research and strategic planning related to transactions, structuring, and changes in legislation.
  7. Management of Tax Payments: Supervise corporate estimated and final tax payments in coordination with the finance department.
  8. Coordination with Tax Authorities: Address inquiries, audits, and notices from federal, state, and local tax authorities.
Qualifications for the Tax Manager:
  1. Professional Experience: 7-12 years of relevant experience in partnership taxation, with a preference for candidates with a background in infrastructure or real assets.
  2. Professional Certification: CPA designation is preferred.
  3. Required Skills: Comprehensive understanding of tax compliance and reporting, exceptional organizational and project management abilities, and a collaborative approach to working across diverse fund structures.
