About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer - Drives to join our team at GE Vernova. As a key member of our commissioning and service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper installation, service, and commissioning of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting activities at customer site locations to diagnose problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute commissioning procedures, maintenance procedures, and daily logs to ensure efficient and effective work execution.
  • Install and commission GE Drives at customer site locations, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support for installation and commissioning of projects, including remote troubleshooting and maintenance services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and customer service, to identify new opportunities and develop effective offerings to improve in-service equipment reliability and availability.
  • Develop presentations and provide training and instruction to customers on drive operations, ensuring they are equipped to maximize the performance and efficiency of our products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 3 years of field service and/or commissioning experience with GE Drive systems, including MV7000, SD7000, MV3000, MD2000, and LV7000.
  • Practical working knowledge of at least one GE Power Conversion drive system controller, including PEC, PECe, and CDC.
  • Ability to execute increasingly complicated assignments, requiring considerable engineering skill and creative ability, and independent judgment.
  • Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude, with the ability to utilize MS Office applications.
