Educator for Students with Visual Impairments

Under the guidance of the Principal of Special Education, this role involves delivering tailored educational services to students diagnosed with visual impairments. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the development and documentation of individualized education programs (IEPs) for these students.
Incentive: A signing bonus of $12,000 is available for applicants holding preliminary or clear credentials.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
- A valid California Educational Specialist Instruction Credential specifically for Visual Impairments or an equivalent CA Specialist credential for teaching visually impaired students.
Certification and Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential for Visual Impairments; or
- California teaching credential with authorization to instruct students with visual disabilities (EL CLAD).
Application Process
Only candidates who submit complete application packets will be considered. Please ensure your application includes:
- A signed cover letter;
- A professional resume;
- Three (3) signed letters of recent recommendation, including one (1) from your current supervisor;
- Copies of official transcripts (evaluated transcripts are required for candidates from non-U.S. institutions);
- Copies of credential(s) or a temporary county certificate (TCC).
