ABOUT SPECS-TII INC.

SPECS-TII Inc. is a leading provider of ultra-high vacuum (UHV) surface analysis instruments in North America. As the exclusive distributor of SPECSGROUP and UNISOKU products, we deliver advanced technology solutions in scanning probe microscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, and surface analysis systems. Our dedicated team ensures exceptional sales and service support for our clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist customers in the USA and Canada with technical inquiries and troubleshooting.

· Conduct on-site maintenance, service, and repairs of sophisticated analytical equipment.

· Oversee the installation of complex surface analysis instruments and provide customer training.

· Capable of lifting and maneuvering scientific apparatus weighing up to 50 pounds and frequently adjusting oneself to install or service equipment.

· Regular travel is necessary, primarily within the USA, Canada, Germany, and Japan, with occasional trips to other locations and trade shows.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline (e.g., physics, engineering, materials science, chemistry).

· Proven problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot advanced surface analysis equipment.

· Practical experience with ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems.

· Familiarity with ARPES, XPS, and/or LT-SPM techniques.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.

· Proficient in interpreting schematics and utilizing MS Windows and Office applications.

· Strong organizational skills to manage time, projects, and communications efficiently within a small company framework.

· Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

· Must be a US citizen and pass a background check for access to restricted facilities. A valid driver’s license and passport are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Ph.D. in a relevant science or engineering field (e.g., physics, engineering, materials science, chemistry).

· Direct experience with SPECS and/or UNISOKU instrumentation.
