Role Overview

The Retail Service Merchandising Lead plays a crucial role in representing Acosta, our clients, and our customers by effectively leading and executing reset and remodel tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, the precise implementation of plan-o-grams, placement of new items, corrections of voids, and special merchandising initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, quick to learn, possesses a keen eye for detail, and thrives in both team-oriented and independent environments. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to foster relationships with business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a team leader in organizing and executing resets, collaborating effectively with store personnel for scheduling and communication.
  • Interpret and adhere to plan-o-grams to successfully complete resets, demonstrating a solid understanding of merchandising and retail terminology.
  • Carry out tasks such as moving and cleaning shelves, properly displaying merchandise, placing shelf strips, attaching tags accurately, checking date codes, and ensuring plan-o-gram integrity.
  • Collaborate with store personnel and colleagues to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence, discussing changes and building effective working relationships.
  • Report observations and issues to the immediate Supervisor.
  • Utilize web-based applications to manage work availability, check schedules, accept assignments, and record work-related data accurately.
  • Prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned resets effectively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, demonstrating awareness of surroundings and using proper safety techniques and equipment.
  • Understand and comply with all Acosta policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Customer Service is preferred, with prior experience in sales, retail, and reset responsibilities being advantageous.
  • Strong demonstration of core competencies is required.
  • Comfort with technology, including smartphones and handheld devices, is essential.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds is necessary.
  • Willingness to work in cold environments (such as refrigerated and freezer sections) for limited periods is required.
  • Proficiency in operating or learning to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, and copier is expected.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills are crucial, along with effective reading and communication abilities.
  • Daily access to the internet is necessary, with the ability to work effectively in web-based applications, email, and other basic computer programs.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to drive are required.
