Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Director of Operations to lead our operational efforts and drive efficiency for the Operating Company. In this role, you can expect to be given challenging assignments throughout the company and take on some of the most complex problems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing processes to enhance productivity and profitability. As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day operations, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee efficient operations of warehouse and transportation functions, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, delivery, equipment maintenance, security, and safety.
- Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedure for warehousing, transportation, inventory, and security.
- Negotiate with vendors/suppliers for packaging, shrink wrap, pallets, parts, and other necessary items.
- Leadership of managers and associates to include staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and education assistance.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need 5-7 years of warehouse and transportation management experience, including at least 2-3 years in a leadership role for a team of over 300 direct and indirect reports. You will also need a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
