Technical Project Manager

We're seeking a high-impact Technical Project Manager to join our growing Project Management team at Hudson River Trading.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with engineers and cross-functional partners, influencing the future of our trading systems and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with engineering teams to establish appropriate project management support, identify deliverables, track progress, and provide status updates
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand priorities and communicate project schedules, progress, and risks
  • Drive project delivery by identifying dependencies early, coordinating feature and function rollouts, and addressing gaps in larger initiative plans
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and ensure alignment across related teams
  • Develop and maintain project plans using tools such as Jira
  • Provide strategic problem-solving and process improvement suggestions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience working with engineering teams and managing software development projects
  • Ability to understand and assess impact of proposed changes on systems, business processes, and trading lifecycle
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to grasp complex technical concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate detailed problems to colleagues in various roles and functions
  • Comfort navigating on a command line and experience in programming/scripting
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and tools

Compensation:

Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $250,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
