Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Crisis/Irts team at People Incorporated Mental Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Engage clients in their mental health recovery using person-centered principles and develop relationships that support their individual goals.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services, prioritizing client and program safety.
- Conduct assessments, treatment plans, and discharge plans as needed.
- Offer skill-building, teaching, and coaching to support client growth.
- Assist with client intake and admission paperwork, and provide program orientation.
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field, with a practicum or internship that involves direct interaction with adults or children served.
- Or, 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral science or a related field, with a practicum or internship that involves direct interaction with adults or children served.
- Or, 2,000 hours of supervised experience in delivering services to people with mental illness.
- Or, 2,000 hours of supervised experience in delivering services to people with traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities, with training on mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects.
- Or, fluency in a non-English language spoken by 50% of the practitioner's clients.
- Or, a high school diploma and 4,000 hours of supervised experience in delivering services to people with mental illness, traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities, and completion of training on mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects.
- Master's degree in behavioral science or related field, with 4,000 hours of experience.
