Job Summary

The University of Central Oklahoma is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Clinical/Counseling Psychology to join our faculty. This tenure-track position will be responsible for teaching, advising, and supervising students in our Counseling Psychology master's program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in our MPCAC-accredited Counseling Psychology master's program, including undergraduate and graduate-level psychology courses in specialty areas
  • Supervise graduate students in a clinical setting in the Counseling Psychology master's program
  • Involve students in research and scholarly activities
  • Advise students and serve on committees

Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program
  • Completion of an APA-approved clinical or counseling psychology internship
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Oklahoma
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision to graduate students seeing clients in the UCO Psychology Clinic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Record of scholarship and research
