Job Summary:
The University of Central Oklahoma's Biology Department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Professor of Biology with expertise in Mycology and Microbiology to join our faculty. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the department's service activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mycology and Microbiology, including introductory biology courses and upper-division courses in your area of expertise.
  • Develop and maintain a research program involving undergraduate students, with a focus on Mycology and Microbiology.
  • Contribute to the department's service activities, including committee work, mentoring, and advising students.
  • Participate in university meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Biology or a related field from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching and mentoring research at the undergraduate level.
  • Publication record in Mycology and Microbiology.
