Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of English to join our faculty. The successful candidate will have a specialization in Professional/Technical Writing and expertise in Composition and Rhetoric/Writing Studies.
Responsibilities- Teach four courses per semester, including first-year composition, technical and professional writing, and upper-division and cross-listed undergraduate-/master's-level courses.
- Direct and serve on M.A. thesis committees.
- Engage in service at the department, college, and university levels.
- Maintain an active program of research, scholarly, and/or creative activity.
- A Ph.D. in English (or a directly related adjacent field).
- A commitment to high-quality teaching.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have at least two years of experience teaching in a college or university setting.
- Expertise in Composition and Rhetoric/Writing Studies.
- Specialization in Professional/Technical Writing.
