Position Overview:

Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is seeking a Machining II professional. This role involves increased quality checks and decision-making responsibilities, requiring operators to select appropriate programming and adhere to basic tool-setting protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate in a dynamic, safety-oriented environment focused on quality.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment as specified by standard procedures.
  • Engage in wire arc spray operations as part of machining tasks.
  • Conduct quality checks in accordance with established standards.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of components and machinery.
  • Interpret blueprints and understand torque specifications.
  • Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and overhead cranes, as needed.
  • May involve operating CNC controls and automated packaging systems.
  • Check incoming materials and perform data entry tasks.
  • Participate in cross-training for other roles within the organization.
  • Utilize computer systems, including email, regularly.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficient in basic computer operations, including reading and entering data.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
  • Experience with basic hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Knowledge of engine components and systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in machining roles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
  • Experience operating forklifts and using measurement gauges.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Potential for forklift operation and training.
  • Adaptability to varying temperature conditions.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy components.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is essential.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting hourly pay rate of $18.80 (negotiable based on experience). Work hours are typically from 5 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime. Benefits include:
