Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Curriculum Coordinator. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the quality of our early care and instructional programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite instructional support, mentoring, and coaching to teachers to enhance the quality of early care and instructional programs.
  • Ensure that our proprietary Life Essentials curriculum is presented as intended, and teachers can speak to the curriculum and what children are learning.
  • Work closely with the academy staff to build relationships with families and increase retention.
  • Responsible for training, motivating, and assessing staff, as well as assisting in the assignment and direction of staff.
  • Plan academy activities and participate in team meetings, training sessions, open houses, family/community activities, and planning sessions.
  • Perform regular observations of classrooms to provide feedback and direction that ensures the Kiddie Academy curriculum is being utilized as expected and learning is accomplished.
  • Actively manage the process for accreditation and maintaining standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that quality control programs are sound and meet all State and Kiddie Academy requirements.
Requirements
  • Candidate must have or be in pursuit of an Associate of Arts Degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education and/or 5 years of experience working in a child care center.
  • Candidate must meet state minimum requirements for education and experience.
  • Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high.
  • Must be able to quickly and safely evacuate groups of children in an emergency or preparation drill setting, with or without notice.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background and drug screen.
