We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach music courses at Dallas College. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or higher in Music or Music Education, or a Master's degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in Music or Music Education.
Key Responsibilities- Teach music courses effectively and maintain office hours for student consultation.
- Participate in the evaluation of the instructional process and use innovative strategies to continually improve learning.
- Develop and support the music program by recommending books and materials, revising curricula, and recommending teaching assignments when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and complete course records.
- Perform professional activities and assume professional responsibilities as agreed upon with the division dean and work with colleagues to achieve shared goals and visions.
- Master's degree or higher in Music or Music Education, or Master's degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in Music or Music Education.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
