The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a high level of skill and expertise in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
- Participates as primary nurse, associate nurse, team member, or team leader in the planning and implementing of patient care.
- Offers leadership and direction to all support staff within the department.
A9 Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 27-bed intermediate care unit with an emphasis on neurological, thoracic, abdominal, and orthopedic trauma patients.
This unit is also the designated stroke overflow unit for CHRISTUS Spohn.
Requirements- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- One-year experience in nursing preferred.
As a nurse working on this dynamic unit, you can expect to work with a hard-working, diverse, and highly collaborative team of physicians, advanced practitioners, RNs, LVNs, therapists, RRTs, and ancillary staff.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can grow and develop your skills as a Registered Nurse.
