Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Bienville Orthopaedic Specialist LLC. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
  • Assemble and adjust sterile and non-sterile equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites.
  • Transport patients to the operating room and assist with positioning them on the operating table.
  • Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants during surgery.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assist with specimen preparation and disposal.
  • Operate sterilizers, lights, and suction machines as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Surgical technologist certification from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a multispecialty surgical unit.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
