Position Overview:
As a Healthcare Assistant Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering the Medical Assistant program, ensuring that students receive comprehensive education aligned with established curriculum standards and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Lesson Planning and Implementation:** Develop and assess daily lesson plans tailored to student needs, incorporating scheduled activities and relevant materials for each module.
2. **Instructional Planning:** Design instructional strategies aimed at achieving specific learning objectives based on student requirements and the defined curriculum.
3. **Student Evaluation:** Assess student performance in relation to curriculum achievements and activities, making necessary adjustments to support diverse learning needs.
4. **Record Keeping:** Maintain accurate student attendance and grading records in accordance with institutional policies, preparing final grades at the conclusion of each module.
5. **Community Engagement:** Organize and facilitate guest speaker sessions, community service outings, and visits to healthcare facilities.
6. **Lectures and Demonstrations:** Prepare and deliver engaging lectures and practical demonstrations for both group and individual learning.
7. **Student Support:** Provide guidance and assistance to students regarding the Medical Assistant program curriculum.
8. **Inventory Management:** Assist with the management of supplies and equipment, including inventory and ordering processes.
9. **Externship Coordination:** Support the arrangement and oversight of externship opportunities for Medical Assistant students.
10. **Classroom Monitoring:** Supervise students in the classroom, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and providing assistance as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or completion of a recognized training program in Medical Assisting.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant occupational experience as a Medical Assistant, or four (4) years of job-related training and experience for instructors without an accredited Medical Assistant program background.
- Possession of current licenses, certifications, or designations as mandated by local, state, or federal regulations for the Medical Assistant field, excluding those teaching non-core courses.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
