Key Responsibilities- Support the Catholic Mission: Recognize and uphold the unique Catholic mission of our school by speaking, acting, and instructing in accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Teaching and Instruction: Assist in the teaching of the French language, demonstrating effectiveness in planning and preparing lessons to implement stated goals and objectives.
- Classroom Support: Lead and participate in classroom prayer, help build the school's faith community, and participate in school religious and service activities.
- Student Development: Develop and use effective methods of evaluation, including monitoring and reporting on children's development, and utilize play and interactive activities to develop language and vocabulary.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage all facets of the day-to-day operations of the preschool, ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, and oversee preparation and maintenance of records.
- Catholic Faith: A working knowledge of, and a strong commitment to, the mission of fostering lay leadership in the Catholic Church. If a baptized Catholic, must be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
- Language Skills: Ability to speak and read French.
- Education and Experience: Early childhood certificate from a 2-year college and minimum of 2 years' experience working in a school environment.
- Diocesan Certification: Level I of the Diocesan Ministry Certification.
This role requires coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual ability, and the ability to lift as required in a normal school room environment. The successful candidate must be able to work cooperatively with the administration and all staff members, promote positive relationships with students, parents, and others, and adhere to the Diocese of Tucson Safe Environment program and guidelines regarding appropriate boundaries and compliance with current mandatory reporting law.
