Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and/or Advanced Care Practitioners and nurses in providing patient care
  • Validate patient identifiers, prepare patients and rooms for examination, measure and record vital signs, draw blood, and collect other lab samples
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and performing data entry
  • Support quality initiatives by following FGP guidelines for collecting and documenting information in the EMR
  • Promote a positive patient experience and communicate effectively with providers and administrative staff
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution or current medical assistant certification from a nationally recognized accredited institution
  • Working knowledge of English and computer skills
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • MA experience preferred
  • EKG, phlebotomy, and venipuncture experience preferred
