College Board is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity. Founded in 1900, College Board was created to expand access to higher education. Today, the membership association is made up of over 6,000 of the world's leading educational institutions and is dedicated to promoting excellence and equity in education.
Each year, College Board helps more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition to college through programs and services in college readiness and college success—including the SAT, the Advanced Placement Program, and BigFuture. The organization also serves the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators, and schools.
About Career KickstartCareer Kickstart (CK) is a new career-focused program that leads to credentials and college credit for all students who want to prepare for a career, whether they are heading to 2- or 4- year colleges, technical schools, or the workforce. With a focus on high-demand fields like cybersecurity and health sciences, CK brings the best of AP to courses designed for career and technical education.
CK courses are powered by the AP features that educators value: robust teacher training, dedicated educator communities, free student resources, high quality assessments, and the broadest national network of college credit policies. Students want more career exploration in high school to help them turn a passion into a profession, but many lack access to quality career-focused programs that lead to in-demand jobs. College Board is building Career Kickstart in partnership with industry and higher education to assure national access to outstanding career education that today is only available in some communities. College Board's aim is to clear a path for all students to own their future, saving them time and money.
About the OpportunityAs the Director of Medical Assistant Pathway, you will be a catalyst for change in expanding and diversifying the health science talent pipeline and creating opportunities for students to own their futures. Your deep commitment to educational equity and the potential of all students will be a major asset as you work to ensure the medical assistant course is designed to serve a diverse group of hundreds of thousands of high school students.
Your experience providing consultation and implementing processes and strategies allows you to work effectively with teachers, higher education faculty, employers, and workforce committees, and a diverse set of advisors to refine the course content, develop instructional and assessment materials, and train teachers.
