About the Role
The Medical Center Representative is a vital member of the Premier Health team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our business office. As a Medical Center Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling a high volume of sensitive medical, financial, and personal information on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process patient arrivals and departures, handling 20 or more patients per day.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to incoming calls, and addressing patient concerns.
- Process patient registration, billing, and collection functions, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Manage daily scheduling, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Work closely with the Practice Manager to ensure seamless operations and address any issues that may arise.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Two to three years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare facility preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and a thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
- Knowledge of Third Party Payers, ICD-10, and CPT Coding is a plus.
- Proficient in computer and keyboarding skills, with experience in Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) an advantage.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
