Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Head of Strategic Planning who will establish the strategic and operational frameworks to effectively serve the North American market, maintain optimal inventory levels, and manage supply chain expenses. Success will be measured by metrics such as on-time delivery, inventory targets, shipping forecasts, demand-supply alignment within network capacities, and high inbound accuracy and speed. This role will lead a planning team that includes Demand Planning and Planning Operations. A critical aspect of this position is to connect all supply chain processes and collaborate with brand, commercial, merchandising teams, and customer service.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Guide Planning managers and team members through all responsibilities while fostering a collaborative team environment focused on accountability, growth, strategic thinking, and teamwork.
  • Enhance planning capabilities from demand plan creation to global supply/buying processes, ensuring timely fulfillment of goods to B2B and DTC customers.
  • Evaluate and challenge market forecasts to balance ambitions with stock risks, working closely with Finance to align market processes with global operations.
  • Oversee demand planning to ensure alignment with open-to-buy strategies and provide additional oversight on complex categories.
  • Set and manage productivity targets and inventory goals at the category level, developing tools and models for business alignment.
  • Facilitate forecasting consensus sessions, integrating inputs and recommended forecasts for review, while promoting collaboration across commercial, sales, marketing, and finance teams.
  • Develop and oversee sales order booking processes and checkpoints.
  • Act as the primary liaison with global demand and supply planning to ensure timely purchasing decisions and address capacity constraints.
  • Partner with transportation teams to minimize variability and ensure a smooth flow of goods.
  • Champion the development of Direct Ship capabilities across all categories, enhancing processes and outcomes.
  • Lead and participate in projects aimed at continuous improvement and organizational leverage.

Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in a planning role, ideally within a B2B and e-commerce context.

Experience Required:

  • 10+ years in a planning role, preferably in a B2B and e-commerce environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading, coaching, or training teams.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing business delivery strategies.
  • Experience in fostering strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Background in project management and software implementations.
  • A passion for sports or experience in team environments is preferred.
