Job Overview

Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

OluKai is on the lookout for dedicated individuals to help shape the future of our adventure lifestyle brand. The Retail Assistant Store Manager will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to oversee all facets of business operations at our location. This role is pivotal in managing the overall customer experience, operational efficiency, staff coordination, and inventory management.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, demonstrating creativity in problem-solving and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. We expect you to foster a successful environment by holding yourself and your team accountable.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations/Sales/Customer Service:

  • Assist the Store Manager in driving revenue growth through exceptional guest experiences and operational practices aligned with OluKai's culture.
  • Support the Store Manager in achieving financial targets, including revenue and payroll budgets.
  • Manage product flow, restocking, and daily maintenance as directed.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and uphold brand image consistently.
  • Become a product expert, understanding customer needs and guiding them in their selections.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions.

Team Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager in supervising and developing the store team, including recruitment and training.
  • Inspire staff to engage with customers enthusiastically and lead by example.
  • Project a credible and confident leadership presence.
  • Share knowledge with the team, providing coaching on product and sales techniques.
  • Conduct performance check-ins with staff in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Dedicate time to mentoring and developing team members.

Events/Marketing:

  • Engage in store events and collaborate with local brands and artists to enhance our community presence.

Goals:

  • Assist in leading the sales team to deliver outstanding customer service that fosters loyalty.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in sales and customer service strategies.
  • Help create a unique retail environment that embodies the essence of OluKai.

Compensation:
