Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer Co-Op to join our team at Green Bay Packaging Inc. As a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including designing equipment, layouts, piping, and parts, as well as supervising project-related items and equipment/parts installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including equipment, layouts, piping, and parts
  • Supervise project-related items and equipment/parts installations
  • Maintain and update drawings and equipment files
  • Meet with contractors, vendors, engineers, and other stakeholders to discuss project details
  • Research files to obtain information to answer questions relating to various mill equipment and processes
  • Assist with the development of engineering schedules, budgets, and projects as assigned
  • Assist the Maintenance Engineer in all other assigned tasks
Requirements
  • In pursuit of earning a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field from an accredited institution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid mathematics background, including trigonometry
  • Ability to envision things before they are designed, constructed, or fabricated
  • Willingness to work in dirty, noisy, hot, humid environments
  • Ability to work at high elevations or within confined spaces
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read precision measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.
